our focus to move forward

The Priorities

As your Vice President, these are the priorities I will advocate to move forward. My platform is built on listening first and then acting, because the direction of our Council must come from the voices of our Members. You will not only be heard, your voice will shape the action. Together we can turn conversations into results that strengthen our Union.

You are a part of this campaign, and your input will help guide our priorities. Contact me and share the ideas you believe will make Council 21 stronger.

Listening to your input is my primary priority.

Members should not wait days, weeks, or months for answers when problems arise. I will press for stronger support systems, advocate for better staffing of Committees, and encourage quick escalation channels so Members receive help.

Key actions I will advocate for:

  • More trained Committee Volunteers available to answer calls and emails

  • A clear process for escalating urgent issues without delay

  • Better use of technology to track, route, and respond to Member concerns

  • Bringing organization and structure to replace the current chaos, so Members get reliable help instead of confusion

No Flight Attendant should ever face the company alone. I will fight to strengthen our grievance process and ensure our Committee has the support it needs to defend Members effectively.

Key actions I will advocate for:

  • Working with the company to create a set cadence calendar so grievances are heard on a consistent schedule, not just when it fits

  • Pushing for faster turnaround on grievances so Members are not left waiting for answers

  • Equipping the Committee with updated technology, reliable tools, training, and resources to prepare strong cases

  • Offering more Contract Compass Zooms and education sessions to  Members to feel empowered and confident in knowing their Contract

  • Improving transparent communication with Members so rights are understand and case status

We cannot keep relying on outdated systems that waste time and create frustration. I will advocate for smarter platforms and processes that make it easier for Members to get help, for Committees to stay organized, and for our Union to work more efficiently.

Key actions I will advocate for:

  • Streamlining communication by using Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and other collaborative tools already at our disposal

  • Creating searchable databases so Members and Committee Volunteers can quickly find answers and resources

  • Introducing intake forms that route cases to the right Committee the first time, cutting delays

  • Building and facilitating continuing education at the local level to keep skills sharp and knowledge current

  • Advocating for an up-to-date, user-friendly, and resource packed Council 21 website

  • Encouraging digital training and quick-reference guides so Members are supported and informed

  • Exploring automation to reduce repetitive work and free up time for real advocacy

Too often, knowledge gets bottled up instead of shared, leaving new volunteers unsure where to start. I will advocate for consistent training, encourage mentorship opportunities, and fight to build leadership pipelines so Members always have strong advocates ready to step in.

Key actions I will advocate for:

  • Developing structured training programs that prepare volunteers for real-world cases

  • Promoting mentorship so experienced advocates can guide and support new leaders

  • Building leadership pipelines that ensure continuity and sustainability for our work

  • Encouraging cross-committee collaboration so knowledge is shared instead of siloed

  • Expanding education opportunities for Members to better understand their rights and protections

Members deserve honest, timely updates instead of rumors or silence. I will steer us toward clearer channels, push for regular updates, and insist that transparency becomes the standard in everything we share.

Key actions I will advocate for:

  • Establishing a consistent cadence of Member updates so no one is left guessing

  • Using multiple communication channels: newsletters, meetings, and digital platforms; to reach everyone

  • Ensuring plain-language explanations of complex issues so information is easy to understand

  • Creating feedback loops so Members can ask questions and get direct answers

  • Promoting a culture of openness and accountability in all Union communication

Real power comes when we stand united. I will motivate broader Member involvement, encourage cross-council collaboration, and fight to make solidarity visible in every action we take.

Key actions I will advocate for:

  • Building coalitions with other Councils and Unions to amplify our collective voice

  • Encouraging Member participation in events, pickets, and campaigns

  • Promoting solidarity actions that demonstrate our strength to the company and the public

  • Highlighting the shared responsibility of all Union leaders and volunteers to support each other

  • Making visibility and engagement a cornerstone of how we show our power
